The cast and crew of Chheledhora recently paused their shoot schedule in the breathtaking valley of Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, to celebrate Holi — the festival of colours — together on location.
Against the lush green landscapes of Ziro, the team gathered to mark the occasion with colours, laughter, music, and traditional festivities, transforming the quiet mountain setting into a vibrant celebration. For many members of the production, it was their first time experiencing Holi in the Northeast, making the moment especially memorable.
More than just a festive break, the celebration became a meaningful bonding experience for the entire team, bringing together artists and technicians from different parts of India and the diaspora. Bengali-American producer Ann (Tutu) Mukherjee cooked up a feast of her world-famous Bengali mutton curry for the entire cast and crew. Sharing the joy of Holi in such a stunning and remote location helped strengthen the camaraderie on set — a spirit that the filmmakers believe will carry through to the screen.
The film also introduces two remarkable young performers who play crucial roles in the story — Riyan and Sreenika, whose performances are expected to bring emotional depth and authenticity to the narrative. Joining them in key roles are Shahidur Rahaman, Sumana Das, and Avijit Sengupta, forming an ensemble that adds further strength to the film’s cast.
Currently filming in Arunachal Pradesh, Chheledhora continues its production across the region’s scenic and largely unexplored landscapes, capturing the unique beauty and atmosphere of the Northeast while the team progresses through an intensive shooting schedule.
