• A celebration of togetherness, strengthening bonds with residents of Merlin housing complexes
• Merlin Waterfront wins the coveted Shera Shiromoni title as 23 residential associations participate in the eighth edition
Kolkata, 6th November 2026: Merlin Group celebrated the eighth edition of Merlin Shera Puja 2026, bringing together 23 residential associations this year. Since its inception in 2019, the initiative has grown steadily, strengthening community bonds through the spirit of Durga Puja.
Popular Tollywood celebrities Aparajita Adhya, Darshana Banik, Rishav Basu and Shreema Bhattacharjee formed the jury and visited 23 Merlin residential complexes across Kolkata, Howrah and Hooghly. The celebrities, along with employees of Merlin Group, mingled with the residents and celebrated the spirit of Durga Puja through various fun-filled activities, including Dhunuchi dance performances by the residents. The grand award night, hosted by popular RJ Koushik Bhattacharya, featured performances by TC the Mentalist and Bengali folk band Chirkut.
Merlin Waterfront won the coveted Shera Shiromoni title, while Merlin Maximus and Merlin Urban received Shera Gourab (First Runner-Up) honours. Merlin Crest and Merlin Elements were awarded Shera Sanman (Second Runner-Up).
Merlin Group initiated the awards in 2019 to celebrate the spirit of Durga Puja with residents of its housing complexes. The objective was to foster a spirit of fun, celebration and togetherness while building lasting relationships with residents. The initiative goes beyond recognising their enthusiasm in organising Durga Puja. It celebrates the collective spirit, camaraderie and sense of belonging that residents demonstrate while organising the festivities within their housing complexes.
“We at Merlin Group have always placed people at the heart of our journey of creating spaces for them. This initiative underscores our belief in nurturing relationships that extend well beyond the completion and handover of our developments. While industry accolades recognise excellence in real estate, the trust and affection of the people associated with Merlin remain our most cherished recognition,” said Saket Mohta, Managing Director, Merlin Group.
“We firmly believe that building spaces is just the beginning. Building lasting relationships is what truly brings More to Life,” added Saket Mohta.
