Post-Holi Rituals for Hydrating and Radiant Skin

Kolkata 18 March 2023: Holi, the festival of colors, is one of the most celebrated festivals in India. While Holi is a time of joy and celebration, the use of colors and water can cause damage to the skin. The harsh chemicals in the colours and exposure to the sun can leave your skin dry, itchy, and dehydrated. To avoid skin damage, we should all know how to deal with after-effects as it is critical for deep nourishment, combating breakouts, and restoring the natural radiance of your face.

Post-Holi skincare is essential to restore the skin’s natural moisture and radiance. Here are some post-Holi skincare tips for your to add to your skincare ritual:

  1. Cleanse the Colour: Begin by thoroughly cleansing your skin to remove any remnants of colour and dirt. Use a gentle face wash and/ or cleanser that does not strip your skin of its natural oils. Post cleansing, follow it using a toner to secure your skin against unnecessary pigmentation and acne and restore sebum level.
  1. Hydrate with a face serum: Hydrating your skin is the most important step in combating post-Holi dryness. Using a face serum helps in combating colour-caused dryness, infused with excellent moisturizing and nourishing properties that revitalize and hydrate dull skin. Unlike moisturizers, a serum contains smaller molecules and penetrates deeper into the skin, delivering a high concentration of active ingredients. The Charmis Super-Hydrating face serum has excellent moisturizing and nourishing properties infused with Moisture Magnet Hyaluronic Acid, Seaweed, and Chia Seed that provides up to 72 hours of hydration. Embedded with Pro-Vitamin B5, it works as a humectant that revitalizes and hydrates dull skin making the skin look healthy yet well-nourished.
  1. Safeguard your nails: Holi colours have the potential to stain the nail bed, as well as settle inside the nails and on the cuticles. After that, they take an eternity to remove! Moisturizing the nails using a hand cream is the best approach for it. Take a pea-sized amount, slather and gently massage it on the nails. It creates an easier approach to exfoliating and removing the embedded colour.
  1. Avoid harsh products: Avoid using harsh soaps, scrubs, and other products that can further dry out your skin. Stick to gentle, natural products that are nourishing and hydrating.

By following these rituals, you can effectively combat post-Holi dry skin and restore your skin’s natural glow and hydration.
