What do you associate the season of spring with? New joyful beginnings, bright colours and above all, love. Love that transcends all barriers and limitations. Love that overcomes all challenges to add colour to our lives – much like Star Jalsha’s new offering – Mon Phagun- starring the dashing heartthrob Sean Banerjee and the beautiful debutant Srijla Guha.

Mon Phagun, as the name suggests – celebrates love. The story discovers childhood’s lost love, of two completely divergent individuals – Rishiraj and Pihu.

They are as different as chalk and cheese. While Rishiraj (played by Sean) is a renowned and arrogant hotelier, Pihu (played by the gorgeous Srijila) is a deeply rooted and vivacious tour guide who aspires to travel the world with her hard-earned money. They are childhood best friends and their friendship transforms into love. After an accident they’re separated from each other. Many years later fate brings them together as their paths cross once again. Thus begins their journey – of discovering their childhood love once again.

Mon Phagun, clearly slated to become the biggest romantic saga of the year, has been produced by Acropolis Entertainment which has already gifted the audience popular shows like Bodhuboron, SanjherBati, OgoNirupama and Dhrubotara to name a few.

Commenting on the show, the spokesperson from Acropolis Entertainment mentioned, “Mon Phagun will make sure that love blooms in every Bengali household. The show will redefine love and will make you fall in love all over again. The romantic sequences have been shot at exotic and posh locations and the audience will enjoy a never-before experience on their television screens.”

Speaking at the launch of the show, the channel spokesperson said, “Mon Phagun will be the biggest love story that Bengal has ever witnessed. The onscreen chemistry of Sean and Srijila will be electric and the two of them will emerge as the brand new pair of love birds on Bangla Television. The magic that Rishiraj and Pihu will create on screen will be etched in the minds of people for years to come.”
