BASANTA UTSAV ORGANISED BY BENGAL TOURISM FEST

Like every year, the Association of Tourism Service Providers of Bengal organized the Basanta Utsav (Spring Festival) this year as well. The event took place on 12th March at the Kolkata Press Club premises.

The renowned folk music group “Dohar” performed Bengal’s traditional folk songs at that event. Additionally, there was a dance performance by the “Karukrit Cultural Club” of Khanpur Nirmala Bala Sarkar Girls’ Primary School, based on the theme “Festivals of India.” Another mesmerizing dance performance was presented by “Nrityangan Dream Dance Academy.”

The festival were attended by many domestic and international tourists. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Jyotirmoy Biswas, Assistant Director, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (Eastern Region).

“Basanta Utsav is a festival of colors! Through Bengal’s folk songs and diverse dance performances, we aim to showcase the rich heritage, festivals, and cultural essence of India and Bengal to both domestic and international visitors. The unity in diversity of our country continues to be a source of fascination for the entire world.”,Said the organisers.
