Blanket distribution at Dhakuria-Selimpur

Service to others is the tax, one has to pay for living on the earth. It is the tax of god. This service can begin at home, but should not end there. Probably, the trustees of the Prothoma Charitable Trust believe it from the core of their hearts.For that, once what was started in a small garrage becomes the ray of hope for the poors of Dhakuria and Selimpur locality.

Prothoma Charitable Trust, a renowned NGO, has been working for the people for few years. Recently about 105 less fortunate people of Selimpur- Dhakuria area received blankets to protect them from winter and cold. Founder trustee of Prothoma Charitable Trust Rakhi Guha said, She is happy to serve people. Smiling face of them makes her glad. Co- Founder and other trustee of Prothoma Charitable Trust Shukla Samaddar announced their future community service initiatives.

Along with blanket distribution, another initiative was also taken. The trust encourages the school dropouts to come back to main stream education.The Trust requests all to send, unfortunate girl children to the local Government primary school. The leaflets were also distributed among target group in tie up with another community based organisation, IIDR.
The programme was graced by Sri Ashoke Dutta , eminent social worker of the area , Sri Kallol Ganguly, a veteran Social activist and Sri Indrajit Ghosh Dastidar, Co -Founder of IIDR and Advisor,Prothoma Trust.Jahanara Rahaman, the Head Mistress of Chapolamoyee Government school appreciated the educational initiative of the trust.

In near future,Prothoma Charitable Trust and IIDR will jointly implement various social service projects , Ratan Guha, Chairman of Prothoma trust declared.
