Kolkata, October 08, 2024: ITC Sunrise Spices, one of India’s leading spice brands, has announced the “Ghore Ghore Durga” contest, celebrating the vibrant culture and rich traditions of Durga Puja in West Bengal. This one-of-a-kind contest invites 1,500 Durga Puja committees from 23 districts across the state to participate in a creative showcase, highlighting the artistic representation of Bengal’s rich heritage and cultural grandeur during the Puja celebrations.
The contest kicks off with all 1,500 committees tasked with capturing the essence of “Pujo Culture” through creative performances set to the iconic “Dashabhujo” song. From these participants, 250 will be shortlisted and further evaluated based on pandal decoration, idol design, and thematic innovation. The top 50 will then be selected for on-ground judging, where physical visits will determine the best five pandals.
Winners will be announced on the ninth day of Pujo, as Sunrise honors the tradition, creativity, and communal spirit that define Durga Puja.
