Kolkata, 29th March 2022: Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s much-awaited movie ‘Belashuru’ is gearing up for its theatrical release on 20th May.  This movie is the sequel of one of the biggest blockbusters of the last decade and the highest grosser of 2015’s ‘Belaseshe’. It also marks the last movie of Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta. Rituparna Sengupta, Aparajita Adhya, Kharaj Mukherjee, Shankar Chakraborty, Indrani Dutta, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, Monami Ghosh and Anindya Chatterjee, all will be seen again sharing the screen in Belashuru. The film’s music have been composed by Anupam Roy and Anindya Chattopadhyay.

Belashuru is the story of an elderly couple Biswanath Majumdar and his wife Arati Majumdar. It revolves with the changes of relationships and bonds among a Bengali joint family.

While talking about the song and the movie, Anupam Roy shared, “Working with Windows is always a pleasure, and they are like an extended family of mine. Association with Belashuru is something that I will cherish forever. This song is very close to my heart and I am happy that team windows have released the song on my birthday. I think this was a birthday gift from them to me. Looking forward to getting the audience’s reaction to the song’’.

Director Shiboprosad Mukherjee shared, ‘’Our entire team is emotionally connected with this movie and we all were waiting for the last two years to release Belashuru. Today when we have finally launched the first song, it is like a dream comes true. I hope the audience will love the song like we do and will admire the magic of Soumitra da and Swati di one last time on the big screen’’.
