Kolkata: Paschim Bangiya Marwari Sammelan Shiksha Kosh successfully organised its 36th Stipend Distribution Ceremony at Mahajati Sadan, Kolkata, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to promoting education and preventing school dropouts among deserving students.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Shri Vivek Gupta, Hon’ble MLA, who graced the occasion as the Guest-in-Chief. Through this year’s initiative, 463 students from 48 schools across West Bengal received educational stipends, providing crucial support to continue their academic journey.
Shiksha Kosh has consistently worked towards addressing the critical issue of school dropouts by extending financial assistance to meritorious and underprivileged students. The initiative has played a significant role in ensuring access to education and strengthening the foundation of inclusive learning.
The welcome address was delivered by Sri Brahmanand Agarwala, President, Shiksha Kosh, who highlighted the organisation’s vision of empowering society through education. Sri Manish Bajaj presented a detailed overview of Shiksha Kosh’s activities, milestones, and impact over the years. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Sri Krishna Kumar Lohia.
The ceremony was further dignified by the presence of Swami Biswatmananda, Hon’ble General Secretary, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, as the Special Guest of Honour, along with several eminent industrialists, social workers, and media professionals.
Among the distinguished guests present were Shri Sajan Kumar Bansal, Sri Kunj Behari Agarwal, Shri Bishambhar Newar, Shri Shankar Lal Gupta, Shri Keshab Bubna, Shri Narain Prasad Dalmia, Shri Ratan Shah, Shri Nirmal Kumar Agarwala, and Shri Saroj Kumar Agarwal.
