Saikat Chowdhury’s Book Collection of 22 Short Stories ‘Sotyi Holeo Golpo’ Launched

Saikat (son of late Supriya Chowdhury and Sutapa Chowdhury) was born and brought up in Kolkata, did his schooling in South Point, graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University and completed MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management.
He has 20 years of experience in Telecom and IT sector and has held senior positions in multiple MNCs, and has worked in multiple countries like India, US, UK. Currently he is working in Ericsson India as a Senior Product Manager, while serving as board member for Holy Mission English Medium School.
He has keen interest in literature, sports, movies, and has worked as a translator, script writer, movie reviewer and sports analyst.
At present he stays in Kolkata with his mother, wife and 2 children.

The book is a collection of 22 short stories. All the stories are inspired from real life incidents, as experienced by the author. The stories depict certain social issues, which has touched the author in some way or other. While some of the incidents are pure fun and will triggered unadulterated laughter, a few others will touch the remotest corners of your heart. So, although all the events are portrayed in light hearted manner, these will give you a unique perspective about the evils of our society. The names of the characters have been changed, and the events have been described in an exaggerated manner to evoke laughter. But the stories will make you think, and think twice, and the author hopes to bring some positive change among the readers and the society.
The book is named ‘Sotyi Holeo Golpo’ (It’s True…but imaginary) in accordance with the theme.
