Kingsguk Dey directed, Meenu Parekh & Nilesh Parekh presented, Blueberries Entertainment produced upcoming film ‘The Red Files’ official logo and first look poster has been launched on 30th November, 2022 at Lord of the Drinks with pomp and luxury. Director Kingshuk Dey, Producer Meenu Parekh, Nilesh Parekh along with cast members like Mumtaz Sorcar, Bidipta Chakraborty, Taniqsha Roy, Abhiroop Chowdhury, Shyamal Chakraborty, Soumendra Bhattacharya, Subrata Nandy, Vikramjit Mukherjee, Juii Sarkar, Sanjib Ghosh, Dipak Halder and music director Soumya Rit, singer Nachiketa Chakraborty & Lagnojita Chakraborty were present in the grand launch event.
The film is based on the 1990 Bantala Rape Case that shook the foundation of Bengal’s socio-political existence during the 90’s. But the film not only focuses on this particular case, rather is going to be a substantial protest to the barbaric act of rape altogether.
The story, dialogue, script and direction for ‘The Red Files’ is done by Kingshuk Dey. While Subhadeep Naskar is heading the cinematography department, Sanjukta Deb Roy is working as the Creative director & costume designer while Amit Naskar is editing the film.
While speaking about the film director Kingshuk Dey said, “We have already finished the shoot for the film, and now the post production work is being taken care off, along with the dubbing. Today our official logo and first look poster have been launched. A prolonged research has been one of the integral part of the film, now it is getting the final shape not only to entertain but also to spread awareness, and to make people able to protest against the gruesome act of rape and physical assaults against women. Hoping for a March release of our film in the next year at your nearest theatres.”
