Kolkata, 2nd February 2022: An array of drool worthy desserts traditional sweets invite gourmets at Acropolis Mall to a visible treat as well as indulge their palate with the heavenly taste of the quintessential nolengur. Acropolis Mall has inaugurated the 3rd edition of Mishti Masti , the sweet festival at its periphery today. The festival will continue till 6th February ,2022.
Gourmands can feast on a myriad of drool worthy sweets including Gurer Rosomalai , Kalamabhog , Talsans, Rosomadhuri,Patisaptha, gurscotch, chicken pithe,gur kolsi, chocolate patisaptha, gokul pithe, Kheer Kadam and more are there to pamper your sweet tooth. All these assortments are to be rustled up from 12 noon to 9 pm during these five days from 2nd to 6th February. The quintessential sandesh made of Nalen gur – or the date palm jaggery rules the roost along with the medleys of traditional Pithe and Pulis.
Acropolis Mall and Hangla Hneshel jointly organized a sweet making contest where participants displayed their innovative culinary skills. Chef Arpan Dey judged the contest . Sharmishtha Roy Dutta,Keka Sengupta and Sahin Sultana came first, second and third respectively.
Ten Sweet Makers namely Nalin Chandra, Bhim Nag, Nepal Sweets, Poush parbon , Pithe ghor, Lovonio, Haji Allauddin Sweets, Satyanarayan Mistanna Bhandar, Batai Mistanna and Doiwala will showcase varieties of drool-worthy sweets and traditional pithes.
