- The Cast and Crew of ‘Mini’ Come Together to Launch Exclusively the Official Trailer
The official trailer of the film ‘Mini’ was launched today in the presence of the cast and crew of the film at Hamleys, South City Mall.

The trailer gives us a sneak-peek into the life of “Titli” ( Mimi Chakraborty) , an independent working woman. Her life turns upside down when she gets the responsibility of her teenage niece “Mini” ( Ayanna Chatterjee) when her sister gets admitted in hospital. The story unfolds with the topsy turvy journey of their bitter-sweet relationship.

‘Mini’ tries to capture the best part of being friends where age is not a boundary. The heartwarming story of a woman and a child. It is about figuring out who needs to grow up and who needs to get taller. A fun, sweet, melancholic film that deals with the value of responsibility.

The lead cast comprising of Actor and MP Mimi Chakraborty, Ayanna Chatterjee, Mithu Chakraborty, Saptarshi Maulik, Rudrajit and others others were present to launch the trailer along with the director of the film Mainak Bhaumik, producer Sampurna Lahiri , Rahul Bhanja and the music team of the film.

Actor and MP Mimi Chakraborty whose film Mini will be shattering several glass ceilings said, “Mini is my first collaboration with Mainak .Mainak called and approached me during lockdown for the character Titli. I absolutely loved the script. Titli’s outlook is almost like me: the way she talks, the way she walks, the way she dresses. Very few people write scripts for women and I’ve been lucky to work in films where the director had me in mind before writing the script. As an actor Mini is a huge gift that I’ve received from Mainak.”

Mini is our first venture and we have plans to do several films in the coming days. It is often seen and assumed that when a female actor comes into production, they themselves would be a part of the lead cast. But I have no intentions of doing so. I’m more interested in making good cinema through my production company and collaborating with great artists and empowering other leading ladies of Tollywood.”

Directed by Mainak Bhaumik, the film also stars Mithu Chakraborty, Saptarshi Moulik, Kamalika Banerjee, Rudrajit among others. Music has always been a strength of Mainak Bhaumik’s film. ‘Mini’s’ music has been rendered by Savvy, Ranjoy Bhattacharjee and Mainak Mazoomdar with voices lent by the eminent singers Somlata Accharaya Chowdhury, Lagnajita Chakraborty,Shaoni and Pritha.
