On 28th January Saturday Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK) was held a press conference at Hotel Hindusthan International Kolkata, Kolkata in presence of the members of the organization.
Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK), an apex body of Elite Tour Operators is the oldest tourism body of Kashmir since 1967. TASK always played a vital role in making policy decisions with all the successive governments in the past and in the present.
The members of TASK have always helped the J&K Tourism in promoting the erstwhile State of Jammu & Kashmir and in Kashmir particularly and continues to do so. Kashmir is also known as “The Crown of Incredible India” by aggressively marketing the pristine destinations of Valley. Our members have best product knowledge to their ability and enjoy the excellent repo with all the Stakeholders & local inhabitants of Jammu & Kashmir.

The northernmost state is rightly called “Bliss on Earth”. The sparkling rivers, placid lakes, gorgeous gardens and indescribable beauty of nature in the Kashmir Valley in general leave you completely speechless.
Kashmir as the playground of the Himalayas is known all over the world for its tourism potential offering nature bestowed attractions to a tourist like vast stretches of green meadows / forests, serene lakes and rich flora and fauna and best trekking routes. It is a destination which has diverse tourist attractions in all its explored & unexplored areas.
The recent report by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Government of India, there has not been a single incident of crime against tourists, including solo females, in Jammu and Kashmir. Another report by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), which says, not a single crime was committed against tourists who visited Jammu and Kashmir.
Both the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Govt. of India and National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) reports have not only made the erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir proud but the whole country, which has become a benchmark and a milestone for other states to follow. Unfortunately, Jammu & Kashmir has become a victim of negative propaganda, which has to be countered by the support of all media houses/channels to create the positive perception about J&K as whole and Kashmir in particular.
Scores of the solo woman travelers including others travelling in families and groups have visited Kashmir and they have been freely enjoying their holidays and have also minced no bones about describing the safety and rich hospitality of the people of the J&K. This will realize all of us to full-fill the dream of all the Tourism Stakeholders to see Light of New Kashmir and all of us live with this trust that the Political Conflict in Kashmir does not hamper the spirit of more than 130 Million people of our country to visit Kashmir, who are duty bound to support and for the handholding of Kashmir Population.
“We appeal you to portray thousands of positive stories that emerge from people and tourists visiting the J&K. It is worth to mention here that Kashmir has received more than 2 Million Tourists for the Season 2022 which has broken all Previous Records of Tourists arrivals, we humbly Request the Citizen of West Bengal to Support Destination Kashmir to make it one of the preferred tourist destinations of the country. In the larger National Interest, tourism has to continue and this is the only way out to bridge the gap between different cultures and religions which will strengthen the National Integration. Special Reference is made here about new virgin destinations such as GUREZ, BANGUS, LOLAB & AHARBAL etc”,Said the members of TASK.
