Anti Addiction Campaign(AAC) no.433 at Vidyanjali International School saw a roller coaster ride of confessions, tears and euphoria from the students of 7th – 12th grades.
This globally acclaimed,free of cost, mind bending,preventive awareness program for the children, conducted by popular actor/activist/teacher of method acting, Bobby Chakraborty of Kolkata, won the hearts and minds of all the students on November 8th and made a deep impact on them, when he raised the issues of addiction of smoking, alcoholism, mobile phone, gaming, online gambling, online obscenity, abusive language etc.and taught them easy yet effective ways to stay away from such evils, which are destroying the physical and mental health of children,nowadays.
Bobby’s award winning session titled ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’ teaches the children to rule their minds against all sorts of temptations,which might destroy their Health-Career and Family.
The ‘star’ of the session was Saksham Kumar Yadav, an enterprising student of the 7th grade, who won all the 3 important titles of ‘The 1st Soldier’ , ‘The Trendsetter’ and also one of ‘The Winner’ of the concluding surprise contest … something that has never happened before in the history of Bobby’s AAC! The other two winners were Isha Dave of 8th Grade and Tanisq Agarwal of 10th Grade. They were all given special prizes, customised HCF t-shirts and community service certificates by their beloved ‘Bobby Dada’,along with the official photographer of this highly interactive session, Vihaan Vijay Kumar an extremely well mannered and obedient soldier from the 11th Grade, who was assisted by soldier Jay Mehta of 8th Grade.
We appreciate the efforts of the socially responsible school management and Senior Principal Saswati Datta , in collaborating with Bobby,to bring about a change in the society, through sensitising the youth, who are the pillars of the same, towards growing up with a healthy mind and body.
