With the present scenario of a heavy influx of the use of smartphones in a child, as young as a kindergartener, the danger of the dark side of the internet is looming large to affect a young impressionable mind. The easily available modes of addiction of smoking and alcoholism, right in their home front is normalizing these vices for a child, much younger than before in the past 10 years. A prevention is imminent, an awareness is extremely necessary, as early as possible.
This is where, actor/activist/teacher of method acting, Bobby Chakraborty’s globally acclaimed, free of cost, preventive awareness program titled ‘I AM THE KING MY MY MIND’,against all sorts of addiction and harmful social trends among the youth, becomes extremely effective to guide a child towards a healthy body and mind.
On June 28th, Siilver Point School, Kolkata, collaborated with Bobby for his 422nd Anti Addiction Campaign, which was also his 3rd session in this school. The socially responsible Principal Sucharita Roychowdhury, along with her efficient team , headed by senior teacher Ratna Chanda Roy, coordinated everything to perfection with Bobby.
The eager audience to this thought provoking session were students from 7th-9th grades who we feel were the perfect recipients of these important life lessons from Bobby. The official photographer who documented this powerful session was soldier Anushka Maitra, assisted by soldier Sk. Younus Mohammad. The most important titles of ‘The 1st soldier’ went to Shubham and ‘The Trendsetter’ went to soldier Younus. The surprise contest at the end had soldiers Purba, Payel and Mayank as winners, who along with Anushka were given special prizes, customised HCF(Health-Career-Family) t-shirts and Community Service Certificates by Bobby.
Bobby won the hearts of his young soldiers with his heartwarming, emotional and witty delivery. Everyone present in the auditorium shouted out the mantra of a soldier “I am the king of my mind “ as loud as ever, thrice, to conclude this mind bending and memorable session.
