BOBBY CHAKRABORTY ENTHRALS HIS SOLDIERS FROM SOUTH POINT HIGH SCHOOL THROUGH HIS ANTI ADDICTION CAMPAIGN NO. 438


It was Actor/Activist/Teacher of Method Acting Bobby Chakraborty’s 438th and the 29th session of his award winning, free of cost ,global awareness program,against addiction and harmful social trends among the youth, at South Point High School, Kolkata on 25th November. We have a first hand account of the absolutely engaging, entertaining and educative adda of Bobby with his soldiers at SPHS.


Students of the 9th grade thronged a full house of the school auditorium, eager to hear from him as the coordinator Brita Sarkar along with all the other teachers warmly welcomed him there.


The official photographer of this sparkling session was soldier Arushi Rowshan ,assisted by soldier Pritam Sarkar, who was also ‘The Trendsetter’. Bobby was absolutely impressed with Arushi’s hardwork, manners and his sense of responsiblity.


The Principal, Rupa Sanyal Bhattacharjee, who is a great supporter of this awareness program of Bobby, since 2014,was all in praise and appreciation for Bobby.
How the next 2 hours passed by,no one could realize, as Bobby, with his eloquent humour and emotion spoke about the mishap in his family and the burning issues of substance abuse, smart phone abuse, decline of self respect and social responsibility in the quest of views and subscribers online,gender insensitivity, rampant use of foul language, online gambling in disguise of games etc.
He laid down simple yet powerful ways to stay away from these evils which are destroying our generation. He stressed on following the effective formula of life, which is HCF( Health Career Family) .He made the audience chant out the positive mantra of life, 1 AM THE KING OF MY MIND’ on top of their voices, which sounded like a war cry.


‘The 1st soldier’ selected was Ainesh Sinha, who made a promise to remain a soldier all his life.
The winners of the surprise contest at the and were Tannistha, Sagnik and Ainesh,who along with Arushi, were given specially personalized gifts, HCF t-shirts and community service certificates by Bobby.


After the session was over the students wouldn’t allow Bobby to leave, as they were totally enthralled by his personality and crowded all around him for a hug, selfie, touching his feet and getting his autograph on wherever and whatever they could lay their hands on.
