Adamas University, in collaboration with the Samit Ray Foundation (SRF), started for first time a four days winter camp for the students of Classes XI and XII with the objective of instilling dynamism and infusing energy and enthusiasm coupled with creativity among the students. This camp is aimed at helping young people learn key skills to help them make an informed decision about their career path and employability skills with special attention to communication, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, understanding mindsets, and teamwork. Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, Chancellor, Adamas University, Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Das, Vice Chancellor, Adamas University and Chandrajit Mitra, Senior Vice President, Adamas University inaugurated the camp on December 10, 2022. 200+ Students from across 34+ Schools have participated in the camp. Some of the schools are Rockvale Academy, Kalimpong, St. Augustine Group of Schools, Central Model School etc.
Speaking from the camp site, Mr. Chandrajit Mitra, Senior Vice President, Adamas University said, “Our aim is to instil human values and life-skills beyond text books. These young students will undergo fun-exercises on building confidence, learning mental stability, enhancing leadership abilities, how to communicate effectively alongside essential knowledge on technology, security, general law among some. We also hope that this camp will also help them win life-long friends.” The Winter Camp features interactive sessions across multiple disciplines, competitions of various activities and skills, educational forums, sports, creative arts, bonfires, camping, and other fun-filled activities.
