Fridaay OTT is now streaming its new web film ‘Ultorath’, a poignant dramedy that explores family, companionship, generational bonds and the quiet ways in which people find their way back to one another.
Directed by Anirban Chakraborty, the film features Kaushik Sen, Priyanka Sarkar and Biswajit Chakraborty in pivotal roles. Set against the backdrop of contemporary Bengal, Ultorath follows three generations of the Chatterjee family, whose seemingly familiar lives begin to change when an unfinished chapter from the past resurfaces.
At the heart of the film is Debarshi, an aging patriarch who discovers that Madhabilata, the woman he once loved, is now living in an old-age home called Ultorath. The discovery sets an unexpected chain of events in motion, bringing together memories, relationships and emotions that had remained unspoken for years.
Meanwhile, Rajarshi, a man accustomed to discipline and emotional restraint, encounters Priya, an independent entrepreneur whose warmth and unconventional outlook gradually become a part of his life. As the relationships within the family evolve, Ultorath unfolds through moments of humour, conflict and quiet emotional discovery.
The film brings together three generations, forgotten memories and unexpected companionship, creating a warm yet layered exploration of what it means to reconnect—with loved ones, with the past, and ultimately with oneself.
With its blend of gentle humour and emotional depth, Ultorath looks at family beyond conventional relationships and celebrates the possibility of healing through understanding, companionship and the courage to embrace change.
