Kolkata, 3rd July, 2026:Mission Smile in partnership with Muthoot Pappachan Foundation and H.P. Ghosh Hospital, a leading healthcare institution in Kolkata is conducting a comprehensive Cleft Surgical Camp, providing free cleft surgeries to children and young adults from West Bengal. The four-day camp will take place between July 3rd to 6th, 2026 at H.P. Ghosh Hospital, Kolkata.
The announcement of this noble initiative was made in the presence of Mr. Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, Chairman Bandhan Financial Services Limited, Dr Prasanthkumar Nellickal, Head-CSR of Muthoot Pappachan Groupn, Mr Bibil Jacob, Vice President of Muthoot Fincorp Ltd, Mr Conrad G. Dennis, CEO Mission Smile, Eminent Plastic Surgeon of East India, Dr Manish Mukul Ghosh and Miss Suparna Sengupta, Associate Director of H.P. Ghosh Hospital.

Started in 2014 from Kerala in partnership with Mission Smile, the Initiative has touched 13 states and so far, has accomplished 3692 successful surgeries across the country. 539 children and young adults from West Bengal have received surgeries through this programme in the last 9 Smile Please Missions in Kolkata. This is going to be the 10th Smile Please Mission in Kolkata as part of this partnership and the 1st one at H.P. Ghosh Hospital.
Overall 52500+ free cleft surgeries have been conducted by Mission Smile and 77000+ medical evaluation across India since its inception. 10000+ patients received free surgeries through Mission Smile in West Bengal so far.
