On 8th March 2026 at ICCR,Kolkata India’s most celebrated casting director, Mukesh Chhabra, headlined a landmark cinematic event in Kolkata — “Mukesh Chhabra’s Exclusive MASTERCLASS” — an intensive five-hour industry interaction that drew aspiring actors, filmmakers, and media professionals from across the region.

Founder of Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company (MCCC), Chhabra has redefined casting in Indian cinema by discovering and launching exceptional talent across films and digital platforms. His session focused on the evolution of casting in India, the realities of auditions, industry discipline and expectations, identifying raw talent, and the long-term vision of MCCC — offering rare, direct insight into the professional casting ecosystem.

The event was conceived and developed by Actress, Entrepreneur & Producer Payel Mukherjee through Anonymous Films, creating a structured bridge between regional talent and mainstream cinema. It was organized in association with Kolkata Film & Television Institute (KFTI), led by Founder & Mentor Rubia Banerjee, who emphasized the importance of professional training, discipline, and industry alignment for aspiring artists and was seamlessly anchored by actor and entrepreneur Sandeep Bhattacharya.

Marking International Women’s Day, a special segment to honour distinguished guests including Baishali Dalmia, Rusa Banerjee of ZEE5, Smita Roychoudhury, and Kakali Ghosh Kundu.

The evening concluded with the announcement of an Advanced 3-Day Masterclass and a student selection opportunity by MCCC in collaboration with Anonymous Films, reinforcing MCCC’s commitment to discovering and nurturing new talent while marking a significant cinematic milestone for Kolkata.
