17th UCMAS Abacus State Level Competition 2025

UCMAS (Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System), a globally recognized skill development program for children organized 17th edition of its West Bengal State-Level Abacus Competition which were took place on Sunday, 13th July 2025 at the South City International School Auditorium, Kolkata. This much-anticipated event brought together over 1,500 participants aged between 4 and 13 years from across the state, competing across a variety of skill-based segments that test speed, concentration, and accuracy in mental arithmetic.

UCMAS has established itself as a pioneer in brain development and whole-brain learning for young children. Through a blend of ancient abacus techniques and modern neuro-scientific methods, the program enhances essential skills such as memory, focus, visualization, and observation. These foundational capabilities not only help students excel academically but also prepare them for future challenges like competitive examinations including IIT-JEE and Olympiads.

As part of this celebration of learning and achievement, UCMAS will also host a Grand Award and Convocation Ceremony on Sunday, 27th July 2025 at the prestigious Science City Auditorium in Kolkata. During this ceremony, around 1,000 high-achieving students will be felicitated with trophies for their performance in the competition, and nearly 150 outstanding learners will be specially honoured in a formal convocation event.

We’ve seen remarkable transformations in children’s confidence, concentration, and academic results through the UCMAS program.” Echoing this sentiment, Ms. Nabanita Bhowmick, also Head of Operations, West Bengal, stated, “We’re proud to bring together thousands of young minds and their families to witness what consistent training and brain stimulation can achieve. At UCMAS, we not only train students but also empower parents to understand and support their children’s learning journeys — completely free of cost.”
